AEOS Cleansing Oil
About:
“Key Organic & Biodynamic Ingredients:
Spelt Oil, Jojoba Oil,Grape Seed Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Avocado Oil, Vitamin E.
Colour: natural green – 100% natural and plant derived.”
My Thoughts:
I appreciate the simple, clean ingredients in this cleansing oil. It’s a versatile product to have in your beauty cabinet. I’ve used it as a makeup remover, as a moisturizer for dry skin, and even dabbed onto my lips & tip of my nose to prevent chapping. As the name suggests, you can also “cleanse” your skin with this oil. You won’t likely need to follow up with a moisturizer, as this oil will clean and nourish your skin, simultaneously. I’ve tried many AEOS products and this is one of many of their great products with great, organic ingredients.

“Ingredients:

My Thoughts:
I wish these ingredients lists weren’t so extensive–I typically believe that simple is better. However, nearly every last one of these ingredients is clean and recognizable, which is great. This shampoo and conditioner perform well together. I tend to take very warm showers, which can strip my hair of moisture. Surprisingly, this duo left my hair soft and moisturized after my ritual warm shower. The shampoo cleanses thoroughly without stripping my scalp and the conditioner does a great job of detangling my long strands.
Primal Pit Paste – Deodorant
About:
“Ingredients:
Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Arrowroot Powder, Aluminum Free Baking Soda and Essential Oils.”
My Thoughts:
Deodorant was one of the first things that I replaced when I began my organic ventures. A good, effective deodorant with clean ingredients is one of the hardest organic products to come by.
This deodorant is pretty awesome! It works well, has a nice consistency that stays put (doesn’t come off on clothes) and smells nice. If I could change one thing–I would try a different scent. Lavender is pleasant, but is not my favorite essential oil. I definitely see myself trying more primal pit paste!
Benedetta Holistic Skin Care – Control Creme
About:
“Ingredients:
Aloe Vera, Foraha, Proprietary Blend of Essential Oils, Soy Lecithin, Bee Propolis, Vegetable Cellulose
-Contains: Certified Organic, Certified Biodynamic, Sustainably Grown and Wildcrafted Ingredients.”
My Thoughts:
Great ingredient list–love how thoroughly they describe the ingredients they use.
I used this creme a few times on a freshly washed face. I noticed that is delivered a nice amount of moisture to my skin, yet kept my skin’s oil production at bay. A little bit of this product went a long way–I think that using too much could make your skin feel goopy, as the bee propolis and soy combo seem to make the consistency dense. I can see myself using this product during my “time of the month” when I struggle with my skin the most.
Angel Face Botanicals – Lavender & Aloe Facial Toner
About:
“Ingredients:
Aloe barbadensis (Organic Aloe*) Juice, Lavendula angustifolia (Organic Lavender*) Distillate, Salix nigra (Organic Black Willowbark*) Extract, Vaccinium angustifolium (Organic Wild Blueberry*) Extract, Aspalathus lineans (Organic Rooibos Tea*) Extract, Hamamelis virginiana (Witch Hazel), Lavandula angustifolia (Organic Lavender*) Essential Oil, Polysorbate, Citric Acid, Reiki Healing Energy & lots of love!! *Certified Organic Ingredients.”
My Thoughts:
As a runner, I typically run in the mornings and my skin usually needs a refresh after that. If I do not want to shower then, I’ll use a product like this to give my skin a healthy boost. I love the ingredient list, it smells fresh and flowery and it does not irrigate my skin (the beauty of organic products!) The spray feature is convenient and distributes the toner evenly. It’s also perfect to keep in your purse for a post-gym refresher. Great product!
Arbonne Lip Polish
About:
“Luscious lip polish glides on silky smooth and delivers superior shine without the stickiness.”
My Thoughts:
I do not wear make-up often, but when I do–I make sure it’s the good stuff. You could say I’m pretty picky about what makeup I wear.
There was a range of sample colors in this packet–many of which I do not see myself using–simply because the shade is not my preference. The “nude” and “raisin” shades were the two that appealed to me.
I was a little bit put off by the fact that the Arbonne website does not readily provide ingredient lists. From my experience, brands that use high quality, organic ingredients are eager to tell you that. They’re typically proud of that fact. Because they are not disclosed next to the pictured product on the site, it just sends up a red flag to me. I value transparency in companies and it does not appear that they offer that.
